Hi, my name is Trent Rhode, and I created this website out of a love for goji berries, and all nutritionally dense (especially perennial) foods. By trade and education, I am a journalist and online publisher, ecosystem landscape designer, and farmer – in no particular order.
My company Living Landscapes offers ecological landscaping and gardening services in Peterborough, Ontario, Southern, Ontario, and beyond, including: Edible & Decorative Gardens · Food Forests & Orchards · Soil Building · Tree & Plant Care · Permaculture / Ecological Design · Edible & Medicinal Plant Sales (many rare perennial edibles from around the world as well as native stock).
I am also a writer, working mostly on private projects, but when I get the chance, I like to write articles about sustainable agriculture, like this one published with the United Nations publication Our World.
Another one of my passions is teaching workshops and courses on Edible Landscaping, and I am currently developing a multi-media online program to bring a lot of wisdom and experience together from different experts in the field (no pun intended).
